Queen Street is the major road in downtown Auckland. It leads straight back from the harbor and is a shopping district with lots of souvenir shops and other businesses. There has been controversy that Queen Street is getting too seedy and needs to be cleaned up. As you can see from the banner, this was taken in the summer.
